Health and Experience

Young Dancers do not need prior dance training, but they must be physically ready for a movement experience. Please contact the director to discuss health concerns. Parents must provide the camp with a DC  Universal Health Certificate prior to the first day of camp. This form will be included in the welcome packets.

Safety and Behavior

Dancers are required to obey all safety standards and policies established by faculty, mentors, and/or program directors. Some classes include inherent hazards, which will be discussed by instructors before or at the first class meeting.  Now Next Dance is not liable for any personal injury or loss of property belonging to any dancer. No dancer will be denied admission on the basis of race, sex, or ethnic origin. However, because of the collaborative nature of dance classes, Now Next Dance reserves the option of refusing admission to any person deemed incompatible with any class group due to disruptiveness, or for any impediment to the learning process of the group as a whole.

 Liability Waiver

Parents must agree to the following waiver. A hard copy will be included in the welcome packet.

I have enrolled my child in the Now & Next Dance Mentoring Project, an incorporated not for profit organization based in Washington, DC, offering dance camps in various US states. I understand that participating dance classes presents some unavoidable risk of injury and/or death. I acknowledge and agree that my child will be participating in dance at my own risk, and assume all risk and responsibility for injuries that s/he may incur as a direct or indirect result of that participation.

I will immediately inform the Now & Next Dance Mentoring Project of any physical or medical condition or disability that may limit my child's ability to participate in dance lessons. As lawful consideration or participation in dance lessons, I, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives, successors and assigns, hereby waive, release, discharge and agree not to sue and to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Now & Next Dance Mentoring Project, its board, members, agents, employees from any and all injuries, losses, claims and damages to any person or persons of any nature, whatsoever, including claims arising from Now & Next Dance Mentoring Project own negligence and all costs associated therewith, including attorney fees and consultant fees, arising from my child's participation in dance.

This waiver of liability and informed consent release shall legally bind me, my heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives, successors and assigns. Should I or my executors, administrators, legal representatives, successors or assigns assert a claim contrary to whatI have agreed in this waiver of liability, the claiming party shall be liable for all expenses (including, but not limiting, attorney and consultant fees) incurred by the Now & Next Dance Mentoring Project in defending such a claim.

Refund Policy

Payments will be refunded in full if a course is canceled due to under enrollment. Parents needing to withdraw students may receive a refund less a 15% administrative fee if a student is withdrawn FOUR WEEKS prior to the first class. After this window, no refunds will be given.

Media Release

Parents must complete a Media Waiver prior to the camp. Requests not to have students included in publicity materials are considered on a case-by-case basis. Media Waivers are mailed with welcome packets.
